I'm liking the squid-- you can definitely tell it's meant to be a squid dressed as a ghost. I don't think the fact that he's trick-or-treating at someone's door comes across well, though. I only know that he is because we talked about it in class. It just looks like he has some harsh lighting on him, but we have no idea what's causing it-- a flashlight? Headlights? You might need to either add a little more context or a little more gesture into the piece. Like, for context, you could add something like a welcome mat beneath his tentacles. And/or for the gesture, you could make it more obvious he's requesting candy-- maybe by having him hold out the bucket in front of him with two or more tentacles and sort of arching his silhouette so he looks more earnest. That might make it funnier that he's hiding more candy behind his back, too. ;)
